Meeting and Exhibition
We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 7th Annual Fungal Update Meeting at the Great Hall, St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London.
The 2011 Fungal Update Meeting educational programme will explore the current challenges posed by invasive fungal disease (IFD) among immunocompromised patients. It will bring together healthcare professionals involved in all aspects of the diagnosis and management of IFD, from innovative research to frontline clinical experience.
The meeting has been organised and is hosted by Dr Samir G. Agrawal, Consultant Haemato-Oncologist and Director of the Stem Cell Laboratory at St Bartholomew’s Hospital (part of Barts and the London NHS Trust) and will be chaired by Dr J. Peter Donnelly (Nijmegen Institute for Infection, Inflammation and Immunity). Dr Peter Donnelly chairs the Infectious Diseases Group of the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer Infectious Diseases Group and the European Aspergillus PCR Initiative.
The agenda will cover new developments and ongoing challenges, including updates on histology, fungal epidemiology, diagnostic and treatment options. It will also examine the realities and implications of a diagnostic-driven approach in both a teaching hospital and general hospital environment. Case studies will continue to be part of the programme, aiming to maximise audience contribution and participation and including keypad voting. Question and answer sessions are also an integral part of the day – an opportunity to probe the experts!
Registration for this meeting is complimentary for all IFD healthcare professionals; please register through this site to avoid disappointment.
This meeting has full accreditation from the Royal College of Pathologists.
Delegates attending, will gain 4 CPD points.
We look forward to seeing you there.
